There is no doubt that Nevada’s Highway 50 is the loneliest road in America. Roughly 280 miles long it runs clear from Oak City Utah to Reno. Towns are scarce and so are the people that inhabit them. But hell, that’s all part of the charm. As the sun set and the dust settled, the old west came alive for a moment when Ed cracked off a round from an old 1917 Smith and Wesson 45.

1,000 lbs overweight and hauling ass, we head west dodging scales and running hard for “shaky.” Days of old are relived as Ed tells us tails of running heavy and playing cat and mouse with Bears from Ogallala to Cheyenne.

Running Heavy interviews U.S. Customs Agents about the flow of illegal substances from Mexico into the US when drug dealers use unsuspecting truck drivers as blind mules.
We ask the question – “Should drivers be held accountable for contraband found hidden in their cargo or in trailers that don’t belong to them?”

Dear Nick,
Great movie idea. I heard about it up at Scott H.Biram’s website.
This is pure Americana, the underbelly that people don’t think about, but that is still important just the same. Scott H. Biram’s music takes me to such a place, and so will this movie.
So when does it play? Or is it out on DVD? I’m ready to put my money down on the barrelhead, if you know what I’m sayin’. Thanks,
